This utility is a DLL for 32-bit Serv-U which lets one execute a program of ones choice after specific events. This could be used, for example, to run some file/script/batch to keep track of uploads, top 10 downloads, automatic virus check etc. The DLL also lets one pass a number of transfer parameters to the program (like file name, user name, error if there was one, etc.). This Serv-U add-on will extend the server with the ability to create WU_FTPd format logfiles, the standard log file format for UNIX FTP servers. There are lots of utilities and scripts that can analyze these log files. The source code is included in the zip file, so you can roll-your-own logfile format if that is what you want. Please note that this add-on will only work with Serv-U version 2.3 and later.

SuStat is a program that generates statistic reports about your ftp servers activity. SuStat can report upload/download volumes user by user, process regarding a date range, can be imported in Excel, is command line oriented (so it can be scripted), very fast and best of all it's totally FREE.

With the FREE LogWald you can easily analyze your Serv-U log files. LogWald gives you an overview like Excel using a grid for user by user statistics. All data can be exported to ASCII text, CSV, and HTML files. You can analyze multiple log files and display it in one table. The HTML file export settings are highly configurable.

Sawmill makes an excellent log analyzing utility that is definately a comprehensive and complete solution. Sawmill will parse and analyze Serv-U log files along with a whole slew of others!

This handy little utility will help you encrypt your passwords in the proper format. It's a WSC component so you can use it within your own Serv-U add-on that manually edits the Serv-U INI file. Instructions on usage are found in the download. May also require the latest version of the Windows Scripting Engine.

This set of utilities helps you generate directory listing index files from .DIZ files. It was made by Chad Biggerstaff and registration of it is suggested if you find it useful. Please see the README.TXT file for instructions.

To help you write your own access verification DLLs for Serv-U (for which you can find the details in the manual, section 3.3) Steve Zohn wrote one in Borland's Delphi. It is fully functional, so if you need to store your FTP users in an external database this works! It comes with documented source code to make it easier to roll-your-own.

Although Serv-U 3.0 includes the ability to disable an account on a given date, ServMOD includes serveral features. ServMOD adds this expiration feature to Serv-U and ServMOD can take action on Expired Users. ServMOD can process one user or a list of users. ServMOD can modify or delete users. Adding users is not supported in this release.

CFX_ServUAdmin is the first tool that allows ColdFusion developers to directly change their Serv-U settings including adding/editing users & groups, changing log-in messages, verifying passwords, creating new passwords and much, much more. This tool was developed by PengoWorks.
